Wendell’s is a successful, operating restaurant and lounge located in Historic Mokelumne Hill, California. Mokelumne Hill is located in the Gold Country / Mother Lode area of Northern California. It is approximately 2 1/2 hours from the Bay Area, and 1 hour from both Sacramento and Stockton.

Wendell’s has been owned and operated by Roxanna and John Hertzig since it was built by John in 1986.

The building includes a large commercial kitchen, a dining area that can accommodate 100 guests, and a full bar / lounge with additional seating and/or entertainment area. The interior decor is blue with oak and brass furnishings; everything has been custom built and is constructed of high quality materials.

The 3.73 acre parcel includes a fully-paved parking lot that will accommodate 150 vehicles. Plans for expansion (the addition of a 100’ x 100’ banquet room) have already been approved; in addition, there is room for the construction of a motel to the west of the building.
